Bodega Bay The Festival began as a celebration of the opening of the Salmon fishing season. Boats are decorated and parade out of the harbor on Sunday morning, gathering outside the jetties to receive blessings of the fleet by a local clergyman. Santa Rosa Each year the Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival draws more than 3,500 participants to downtown Santa Rosa with over 120 entries. After the parade, the festival kicks into high gear with music, food booths, Italian Street Painting and dozens of activities for kids.

Alexander Valley

Representing each decade of the 20th Century, 13 historic race car groups will attack the very technical 2.52 mile road course. Over the weekend the roads in and around Sonoma will be traversed by classic sports cars and elegant grand touring vehicles as they shuttle their stylish passengers through rolling California hills, past vineyards and wineries on eucalyptus-lined roads that wind between the luxurious inns and restaurants of the Sonoma wine country and the track.

The Forestville Youth Park BBQ kicks off with a Carnival Friday evening. Saturday's festivities include a parade in downtown Forestville, ending at the Forestville Youth Park on Mirabel Road. From 1812 to 1841 Russian American Company Settlement Ross was home to a unique blend of cultural groups—Russians, Creoles, Native Alaskans, and Kashaya and Coast Miwok Native Californians. Cultural Heritage Day celebrates this cultural diversity and the arts, crafts and traditional activities of the inhabitants of Fort Ross. Features music, food, canon and musket demonstration, and fort tours.
Occidental Arts & Ecology Center Garden Tour

Occidental Arts & Ecology Center The Occidental Arts & Ecology Center's annual tour begins at 10 am and will run approximately 1.5 hrs in duration. Tour participants will be introduced to the Center's organic gardens, which preserve thousands of varieties of rare and endangered food, medicinal, and ornamental plants. Sturdy shoes, brimmed hat or warm layers (depending on weather), and personal water bottles are recommended. Please note that the terrain is very hilly and unpaved with dirt or gravel paths.  A suggested donation of $10 per person is requested.
