360 degree views of Lake Sonoma and Dry Creek Valley
Open Weekends.
Head to the tallest hill above Lake Sonoma
and Dry Creek Valley. Walk one hundred feet straight off its steepest side, then
ascent another twenty feet straight up. You are now at the Lake Sonoma overlook.
The most incredible 360 degree view the Russian River has to offer.
Getting there: view the area map. The scenic route
is to take Dry Creek Road thorough the Dry Creek Valley from just north of Healdsburg.
This will connect you with Skaggs Spring Road and lead you to Lake Sonoma. Once
there continue up the hill and follow the signs to the Overlook. From the base
of the hill you will take the first left and then the first right. See map
of the roads around Lake Sonoma. |
